Established in 1994, Aectra SA began to operate in the chemical industry. The company exported thousands of tons of petrochemicals from the Commonwealth of Independent States and other East European countries into Western Europe. An increasing part of the business was barter trade in the 90s, particularly in Russia and Romania.
Aectra SA built partnerships with local chemical plants through a variety of trading arrangements, including barter, projects financing and joint-ventures.
Starting from 2000, Aectra SA entered into a strategy of product specialization. The main product lines were Methanol, Orthoxylene, Paraxylene, Benzene, Purified Terephthalic Acid, Propylene and Toluene.
In a complex market economy, Aectra SA is able to offer innovative business solutions, when traditional methods fail. The philosophy of Aectra SA is to develop and expand long-term partnerships within the chemical industry.
